Position Summary:
The Instructor in Management Information Systems with a focus on Business Analytics is now open to qualified applicants. This position is within the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at the University of Idaho. The incumbent in this position will teach the equivalent of seven (7) three-credit classes per academic year in person, as requested by the Department of Accounting and MIS administrator. Additionally, this faculty member will play a vital role in advising students, demonstrating a commitment to their academic and professional development.

The Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS) provides an engaging learning environment that prepares undergraduate students and Master of Accountancy students to be successful professionals. The University of Idaho College of Business and Economics and Department of Accounting and MIS are accredited members of AACSB International (AACSB), one of only 187 schools in the world accredited by AACSB for both the college and accounting program.

Minimum Education/Degree Required:
Listed degree qualification is required at time of application.
Required Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in business analytics, information systems, computer science, economics, MBA or related field.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or other terminal degree in business analytics or related field.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau and/or Python.
  • Industry experience.
  • Experience developing a variety of teaching methods, including online, face-to-face and hybrid instruction.
  • Record of excellence in teaching.
