Position Information
Hiring Department: Graduate School

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: $46,550 annually

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.
Purpose of Position
Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Student Support, the Coordinator for Outreach & Recruitment is responsible for managing Graduate School efforts to promote graduate education and to provide comprehensive strategic outreach and recruitment support to academic programs. The Senior Coordinator will work with Graduate School staff and with academic and professional units across campus to develop communication campaigns and materials to assist graduate programs in their recruitment efforts
Essential Functions
Educates UTEP undergraduate students about the value of graduate school and develops intentional approaches to transitioning students to graduate studies at UTEP.
Uses data to assess the impact and effectiveness of outreach and recruitment activities.
Uses the University's Constituent Relationship Management system (CRM) to develop, implement, and assess data-driven recruitment and outreach campaigns.
Works with leadership in graduate programs to facilitate and improve their recruitment efforts, e.g. provides training to faculty, staff, and student advocates who can represent UTEP at recruitment fairs and outreach events.
Oversees the development and dissemination of outreach materials for Graduate School programs and initiatives, including print, web-based, and social media.
In liaison with UTEP Marketing & Communications team, explore and implement new marketing, communication, and student engagement strategies in line with best practices.
Develops and delivers presentations (virtual and in-person) to prospective students about graduate education at UTEP, as well as Graduate School services.
Serves as Graduate School point-of-contact for UTEP Fast-Track programs; works with Assistant Director and Enrollment Team to develop plan to promote and grow these programs.
In consultation with the Assistant Director for Student Support, maintains the Graduate School's social media presence through outlets such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Under direction from the Assistant Dean, assist in major fundraising campaigns undertaken by the Graduate School.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to support recruitment events.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
and
Experience: Three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated customer service, project management, and presentation skills.
Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with and ability to use various social media and other similar digital communications tools.
Preferred Education/Experience: Graduate degree and awareness of graduate education.
Professional experience in student recruiting, marketing, fundraising/development, or communications.
Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish.
