The Position:
Applications are currently being accepted for Student Services Assistant in the Student Services department, located at the North City Campus. Hours are Monday & Wednesday 10:30am-7pm, Tuesday & Thursday & Friday 7:30am-4pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

The Student Services Assistant is expected to meet the qualifications the classification description displayed as Desired Qualifications and Training and Experience as well as the Licensure upon completing the first six (6) months of employment in a Student Services Assistant assignment. Some of the following qualifications may be duplicates from the list on the linked classification description. Those qualifications below that are not duplicates from the list on the linked classification description are desired or preferred but not required. Extensive experience with data management and word processing software (Microsoft Office Suite or similar software). Ability to maintain detailed records and prepare reports using detailed information providing a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work in a fast paced high volume environment. Strong work ethic. Responsible. Excellent time management skills. Ability to address multiple priorities and to effectively manage multiple tasks when needed. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Pay Information:
Range 16 ($2,988.06 $4,769.61) per month based on the current AFT Classified Unit Office Technical Salary Schedule

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the AFT-Guild, Local 1931 Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and may accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
