About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
The Academic Coordinator serves the as the department's initial and key point of contact for inquiries about programs, policies, and processes. The Coordinator carries out day-to-day assignments in conducting the department's operations to make it run more efficiently and effectively. The Coordinator also gathers, organizes, and analyzes data from a variety of sources for recordkeeping, reporting, analysis, and program management.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Serves as the department's initial and key point of contact for inquiries about programs, policies, and processes.
- Provides information for routine matters, and when necessary, make interpretations and determines course of action for non-routine matters, such as complaints and disputes.
- Escalates and provides recommendations for the most serious matters.
- Administers the day-to-day department operations (e.g., enrollment, admissions, registrations, etc.), and carries out the daily office functions, including scheduling, calendars, events, lists workflows and/or records management.
- Makes improvements of processes, procedures, or systems within job area or team.
- Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data from a variety of sources for recordkeeping, reporting and program management.
- Provides analysis and recommendations.
- Troubleshoots issues with applications and systems.
- May train, supervise and develop student workers and/or administrative to handle front-line inquiries from students and parents on the phone, via email, and in person.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of MS office products, project management, and office operations.
- Ability to influence others to reach agreement; explain and clarify complex information (verbally and in writing) using tact and diplomacy, independently prioritize, organize and manage multiple activities with attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required and at least two years of experience, preferably in higher education or a large organization.
- Candidates with comfort and expertise using Qualtrics (survey building, management & analysis), Service Now, and Excel (data organization, formatting & analysis) are encourage to apply and highlight these skills in their application materials.
