Job Summary:

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a part-time or full-time academic ACGME fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on experience. This provider will see patients in our robust clinical practice. Working with outstanding physician/educators and physician/scientists, our patients are seen at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical: Physician will be an attending in the Department of Dermatology in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery.
  • Teaching: Physician will teach medical students, dermatology residents, and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) fellows. Teaching will include, but not be limited to, bedside and hands-on teaching and didactic teaching.
  • Research: Physician will be expected to be involved in departmental research
  • Involvement in academic scholarly activities and service

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:
  • MD/DO degree
  • 0-4 years of experience
  • Board certification in Dermatology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
  • ACMS fellowship-trained in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
    • (MSDO, or a similar fellowship i.e., Procedural Dermatology fellowship, Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship.)
  • Board-eligible/board-certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS).

Associate Professor:
  • MD/DO degree
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Board certification in Dermatology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
  • ACMS fellowship-trained in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
    • (MSDO, or a similar fellowship i.e., Procedural Dermatology fellowship, Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship.)
  • Board-eligible/board-certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS).

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor level has been established at $344,683 - $379,210. Total Annual Compensation (including productivity-based incentive) is $550,000 - $599,000.

Associate Professor level has been established at $391,002 - $404,001. Total Annual Compensation (including productivity-based incentive) is $675,000-$718,731.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
