Job Summary

This position assists with maintaining of graduate student records via DegreeWorks and Banner. This is responsible for the transmittal of electronic communications to current graduate students and managing the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation system via the Digital Commons.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation system for the institution
  • Identify requirements, and effectively establish appropriate courses of action to accomplish specific goals. Use information, time, and other resources necessary to achieve successful student outcomes as it relates to thesis and dissertation
  • Develop evaluation criteria and tracking systems for monitoring goal progress and accomplishment. Specify objectives and priorities.
  • Identify existing and potential problems from committee identification through acceptance and publication of final documents.
  • Acquire and evaluate relevant information; navigate interrelationships among committee decisions; decide when to shift to an alternative course of action that may include a new or creative approach to reach desired student outcome.
  • Assist the Degree Audit Manager with processing graduate student matriculation paperwork, DegreeWorks' program audits, updating student programs of studies and changes in majors, graduate degree clearances, semester end processing and review
  • Responsible for coordinating electronic messages/communications to currently enrolled graduate students and graduate stakeholders Complete graduate enrollment and financial aid reports


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency working with Word and Adobe Acrobat including use of pagination, bookmarks, citations, headers, and footer functions
  • Demonstrated writing and publication experience in professional and academic capacity, including knowledge of academic citations and formatting used by various writing style guidelines

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with Excel and function codes in developing reports, tables and charts


Proposed Salary

$20.71 - $21.15 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis
