Job Summary:

Children's Hospital Colorado is recruiting a full-time faculty member, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to join our molecular pathology team. The Precision Diagnostics Laboratory at the Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) performs testing on over 10000 specimens per year and in addition to serving CHCO, provides testing for additional regional hospitals and other pediatric pathology practices. The lab performs testing for around 3000 next-generation sequencing (NGS) cancer cases per year and recently expanded NGS offerings for both oncologic and constitutional genetic testing to include whole exome and whole genome testing. On-campus collaborations exist with the Colorado Molecular Correlates Laboratory, which performs clinical molecular testing with an adult oncology focus at the University of Colorado Hospital, and the Colorado Genetics Laboratory, which performs all campus cytogenetic testing. The University of Colorado also offers a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship with fellows rotating through the Precision Diagnostics Laboratory at CHCO. This position includes an academic appointment at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:
  • Board certification in AP and/or CP with subspeciality board eligibility or certification in Molecular Pathology.
  • 0-7 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with molecular pathology in a pediatric setting is preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $216,900 to $261,917

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
