Job Summary:
The University of Colorado Division of Cardiology seeks a general cardiologist that is board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM. The successful candidate should also have a meaningful clinical research background as well as an interest in Colorado Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (CCOR). The major site of practice is the University of Colorado Hospital and potentially its Hospital Outpatient Departments (e.g., Lowry).
The preferred candidate should be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM. Ability to independently manage patients with general cardiology needs. Ability to serve in an academic role as a faculty member in our training programs, including participation in didactic activities related to cardiology trainees as well as in the education of house officers and medical students on our various clinical services. The successful candidate should also have a meaningful clinical research background with the ability and intention of developing a collaborative research program focused on issues relating to Cardiovascular Outcomes research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in administrative and leadership activities that support your research and the mission of the division of cardiology.
- Teaching responsibilities will be concurrent with research effort and will primarily include mentorship of fellows and other trainees who have research interests.
- Participate and attend Divisional activities including Division-wide grand rounds and faculty meetings, service on Divisional committees and recruitment efforts for faculty, fellows, residents, and staff.
- 50% time will be a mix of clinical, inpatient and imaging activities.
- 50% time will be participating with the Colorado Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (CCOR) group, housed within Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) and develop an independent research program focused on health services/outcomes research.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- MD, Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to independently manage patients with general cardiology needs. Completion of Fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and ability to serve in an active clinical role as faculty. Ability to serve in an academic role as a faculty member in our training programs, including participation in didactic activities related to cardiology trainees as well as in the education of house officers and medical students on our various clinical services.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$300,000 to $330,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
