Responsibilities
As a photographer / videographer you will:
  • Capture high-quality images, both still and video, ranging from studio work, environmental portraits, statewide campus environments, student life, science and research, outreach, special events, presentations, editorial, and other photography and/or videography for a wide range of marketing materials and events, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Collaborate with team members to concept and produce videos that advance the reputation of the Institute.
  • Manage the digital asset management (DAM) system by adding and maintaining approved images and videos.
  • Maintain the in-house studio and related equipment.
  • Work closely with team members and partners to support the mission of the division and the overall mission of the UT Institute of Agriculture.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Video Production, and/or Photojournalism.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience working as a photographer and videographer in a marketing and communications or journalism setting, or as a freelancer.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Video Production, and/or Photojournalism.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience working as a photographer/videographer in a marketing and communications or journalism setting, or as a freelancer.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Excellent Writing skills
  • Ability to conceptualize themes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits
  • UT market range: 9
  • Anticipated hiring range: $50,000 - $58,000
