THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANT-FUNDED POSITION (20 HOURS PER WEEK)
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Study Coordinator 1- Level 2 supports activities of the Choosing Healthy Activities and Lifestyle Management (CHAMPS) by analyzing the study data for a behavioral intervention focused on weight loss as outlined by the CHAMPS research study protocol.
Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with programming intervention and other study components into a relational database.
- Assists in the set-up and management of connectivity between the study website and community medical practice EHR/patient portal in order to provide delivery of the intervention.
- Assists in data Quality Control to ensure adherence to study protocol and accuracy of research data
- Collects participant measurements and other data protocol-specific Screening and Randomization Visits and enters data into the relational Database Management System (DBMS).
- Assists in training the study team in proper use of relational databases.
- Performs data analysis for reporting purposes with assistance.
- Assists in website and study informatics development.
- Ensures protocols are followed, monitors participant adherence to protocol, reports all protocol deviations, and takes action to correct problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Counseling, Exercise Science, Nutrition, or other behavioral social science field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year clinical research and/or counseling experience; OR Master's Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Counseling, Exercise Science, Nutrition, or other behavioral social science field in lieu of experience. Must complete Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practice training and obtain certification within the first four weeks of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make good clinical judgment and excellent counseling skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), FileMaker Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, Web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari/MS Edge).
- Analytical skills to interpret policies and procedures, research relevant information, and compare alternative solutions with minimal supervision.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
