Job Description
Psychiatry Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville (Part-Time 50%)
Responsibilities
Program
- Participate in resident conferences
- Participate in annual DOM CME conference
- Participate in residency applicant interviews per need
Commitment and dedication to education of resident physicians in all clinical areas
- Maintain good relationships with all clinical educators
- Participate in the many educational efforts of the GSM
- Participate in education of medical students, both bedside teaching and didactics
Supervisory/Faculty Responsibilities
- Attending physician in psychiatry clinic
- Academic committees as assigned by the PD or Chair
- Attending physician on in-patient consults
Responsibilities for Resident Education
- Teaching responsibility for IM residents
- Teaching and evaluation in clinic
Research
- Participate in publishing case reports, PI/QI projects, resident presentations
Administrative
- Attend departmental committee meetings
Qualifications
- MD, ABPN Certified
- TN Medical License
Departmental Preferences:
- General outpatient psychiatry
- Behavioral health
- In-patient psychiatry consults
- Substance use disorders (optional)
