POSITION: Educational Effectiveness Coordinator (FT)
Effective immediately: (FT) Educational Effectiveness Coordinator, Academic Support Services, Wilmington University, New Castle.
Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree is required and a Master's Degree is preferred. The incumbent must have sufficient experience to successfully perform the job. This will include experience in online learning. Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and online learning skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must have advanced knowledge of online learning format, Canvas, and HOT Training. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is a must.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Serves as a liaison among Educational Technology and Online Learning, Academic Affairs, and the College.
- Collaborates with Chairs and Directors to ensure compliance with the Teaching Expectations of WU faculty (Teaching Expectations Document). Uses Canvas analytics to monitor faculty engagement activities including, but not limited to, consistent posting of announcements, inclusion of due dates, presence of personalized syllabus, and timely grading and feedback.
- Works with TCE and Academics to identify and acknowledge faculty who excel in their teaching expectations. Promotes the sharing of exemplary teaching practices across all colleges.
- Works with TCE and Academics to identify and provide remediation needs for faculty who require PIE training based on their teaching expectations deficiencies.
- Collaborates with Chair, Director, and Online Learning Personnel in all areas including training and course development/redevelopment and refreshes.
- Observe, manage, and guide faculty with training needs in the online environment. Communicate these needs to the Director.
- Assists faculty in the use of Canvas, Banner (Attendance, Final Grades), and Turnitin.
- Maintains online content for live courses as requested by the Chair, Dean, or Directors.
- Supports the University's retention efforts by contacting and engaging with students identified as "at-risk." Uses Early Alert data to guide this follow-up.
- Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Senior Director or Dean.
Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (must be flexible with hours to meet the needs of the department/University). Incumbent may be asked to be flexible with hours with the possibility of occasionally working evenings and weekends. Some travel may be necessary for marketing and recruiting events.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
