Job Summary:
The Visitations Coordinator position is responsible for outreach and recruitment for Eastern Washington University. The Visitations Coordinator creates, organizes and executes projects for the Office of Admissions including but not limited to on campus visits, off-campus visits, special tours, daily tours, and special group visits. This position maintains primary responsibility for the coordination of all group, special and daily visitations to the University from prospective students and key influencers.

The salary for this position is $40,019 (minimum) up to $48,027. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Bilingual Ability; preferred Spanish language.
- Previous work experience in event planning;
- Ability to participate in evening and weekend events and multi-day recruitment trips, which will require a valid Driver's License and clean driving record;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay attention to detail and produce desired results;
- Ability to coordinate multiple events at one time;
- Strong organizational skills, complete tasks on time;
- Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly and effective manner both orally and in writing;
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding transfer admission and records management;
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team;
- Capacity to effectively address diverse constituencies;
- Advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive Software (or equivalent); proficient user of laptop computer, projector, and cell phone; two years increasingly responsible office experience;
- Position will require extensive sitting and walking; selected candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. involving recruiting materials.
- Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in admissions, recruitment or student advising;
- Previous work experience in student supervision;
- Previous experience at Eastern Washington University (EWU)
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Public Relations or related field;
- Demonstrated ability to manage programs from planning through implementation to completion;
- Previous work experience with k-12 students;
- Previous experience using social media, Zoom and leading live virtual events;
Other Skills and Abilities:
- This position co-supervises student employees roughly 15-25 students also known as Eagle Ambassadors, and advises a student club; Eagle Ambassadors 5-20 students.

Responsibility / Duty: Provide operational project management which includes the following:
- Develop strategies and tactics to achieve EWUs recruitment goals and objectives for on-campus visits, events, and tours;
- Advise their supervisor on issues and concerns of visiting guests or of campus partners who are hosting future students;
- Analyze data about and assess the outcomes and quality of on-campus programs, projects, and visits;
- Develop reports and proposals to enhance program development;
- Represent EWU at conferences and other professional events, and participate in professional networks, organizations and activities;
- Supervise and train front-desk student staff, tour guides and ambassadors, and help them develop as professionals;
- Coordinate, communicate and plan special visits, including visits for key and high-profile stakeholders;
- Develop and create events, websites and forms using Slate (CRM);
- Work with the Assistant Director of Events and Visits to develop tour guide training plans, materials and orientations

Responsibility / Duty: Participate in a comprehensive student recruitment and admissions program; communicate the educational opportunities available at EWU to prospective students, high school and community college personnel, families, alumni, and other groups who might benefit.
- Use best practices to develop methods and strategies for recruiting students to EWU;
- Coordinate recruitment activities with campus departments, faculty, student groups and services, and others;
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with guidance counselors, community organizations and agencies, and other key stakeholders;
- Maintain contact with prospective students, school personnel, families, and other organizations, and make referrals as necessary based on the specific needs of students;
- Advise prospective students, school personnel and families on application, admissions, financial aid, and academic, and other student processes and policies;
- Analyze recruiting strategies and activities and prepare reports as required.

Responsibility / Duty: Provide processing and administrative support to records management operations within the Office of Admissions which includes the following tasks:
- Verify new student credentials adhering to University admissions policies;
- Verify student admission applications to determine their ability to succeed using research based assessment tools;
- Analyze systems, processes, and technologies for continuous improvement;
- Maintain technological skills necessary for file review and admissions processing;
- Interpret Washington Student Achievement Council and NACAC policies in making admissions decisions;
- Usenational best practices related to holistic admissions review.

Conditions of Employment:
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
All new employees must comply with EWU Immunization Policy 602-02 and provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR before beginning work at EWU. Waivers for the immunization requirements are available for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
