Position Announcement


Utah Valley University is seeking a Program Coordinator for Accreditation and Academic Assessment to support university-wide accreditation and assessment efforts. Reporting to the Director of Accreditation and Academic Assessment, this role works closely with faculty, program administrators, and staff to facilitate data collection, analysis, and reporting that drive academic planning and continuous improvement.

The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining institutional accreditation with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and supporting specialized program accreditations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Summary of Responsibilities


  • Assessment Coordination - Supports academic programs, faculty, and staff in documenting, monitoring, and evaluating student learning outcomes. Maintains systems for tracking assessment data, analyzes student learning outcomes at various levels (course, program, and institutional), and prepares reports to inform instructional improvements.
  • Strategic Planning Support - Assists with tracking progress on institutional goals within Academic Affairs by documenting and monitoring strategic planning initiatives. Supports efforts to integrate strategic planning with budgeting and assessment cycles to ensure alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Accreditation Compliance - Aids in the preparation of accreditation reports, self-studies, and compliance documentation. Stays informed about accreditation policies and assists with institutional alignment to meet accreditation standards. Supports specialized accreditation efforts within programs, schools, and colleges.
  • Academic Program Review - Assists in the collection and analysis of data to assess the effectiveness of academic programs. Contributes to reports and documentation that inform program planning, evaluation, and decision-making. Tracks program progress and assessment findings to support institutional strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Training and Communication - Develops and implements training sessions on accreditation and academic assessment for faculty, program administrators, and staff. Assists in maintaining accreditation-related web content and resources. Participates in committees, workgroups, and task forces to support institutional assessment and accreditation initiatives.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling 4 years.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and two years of relevant work experience in higher education. Experience with project management.

  • Knowledge of institutional and/or programmatic accreditation processes, knowledge of best practices in assessment, and knowledge of continuous improvement practices in higher education.
