Position Description
The Director of Soccer Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the soccer program. This role ensures efficiency in logistics, travel coordination, compliance with NCAA and conference regulations, and overall program support. The position works closely with coaches, student-athletes, and administrative staff to enhance the overall success of the program.
Major/Essential Functions
Team Operations & Logistics:
- Coordinate team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
- Arrange practice schedules and facility reservations.
- Manage game-day logistics, including team itineraries and equipment needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the soccer program and athletic administration, compliance, facilities, and marketing.
- Assist with recruiting operations, including managing recruiting databases, organizing campus visits, and preparing recruiting materials.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Track and maintain required NCAA documentation and eligibility reports.
- Assist in monitoring the soccer program's budget and expenses.
- Coordinate student-athlete meals and nutrition plans.
- Assist with community outreach and team-building activities.
- Facilitate academic support coordination in partnership with academic advisors.
- Assist in the promotion of the program through social media, website updates, and community engagement.
- Coordinate alumni relations initiatives, fundraising events, and donor engagement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field plus three to five years of experience related to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in college or professional soccer, or other sports operations, coaching, or administration.
- Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage travel logistics, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
