Job Description
The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Undergraduate Program Coordinator with the School of Art. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.
Length of Assignment: Approximately 3 months
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
Rate of Pay: $20.00/hour
Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Business Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of duties that are essential to the department.
- Coordinates the department's undergraduate program by facilitating information and communication.
- Recruitment events
- Collaborates with advisors
- Administers recruitment campaigns, reports, and analytics while implementing departmental practices and UT policies
- Serves as the assistant to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Scholarship Committee.
- Assists the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies updating and creating courses and timetables, updating waitlists, and assisting students with various requests and needs
- Assists the Scholarship Committee Chair with managing scholarship applications
- Provides academic support by serving as first point-of-contact for faculty, students, and visitors in a variety of tasks, deciding the best solutions, how tasks are completed, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Manages facility issues, work orders, and projects, and coordinates departmental space use and inventory records.
