Job Description
The Ticket Office Manager assists with all major Ticket Office activities including, but not limited to, supervising 3 term employees and 10-15 student workers, serving as Ticket Office Liaison to the Tennessee Fund, overseeing ticket operations of Volleyball and all other Olympic sports, allocation and verification of Faculty/Staff season tickets, processing travel requests, ordering office supplies, and other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Train staff of 3 term employees and 10-15 student workers. Training will include, but is not limited to, the skills necessary to use the Archtics/TM1 ticketing software, as well as problem-solving basic customer service issues or complaints
  • Utilize phone management software to monitor call volume and coordinate appropriate staffing levels
  • Create student worker schedule and maintain student worker event schedule
  • Ensure student work staff is sufficiently informed of on-sale dates, ticket policies, changes to event information, and other items needed to assist customers with questions and purchases
  • Create and manage internal users and their permissions within Archtics
  • Enforce NCAA and SEC rules and regulations including the complimentary tickets used for recruits, player families, high school coaches, and donors

Ticket Office Responsibilities:
  • Correspond to all emails sent to Ticket Office at volstix@utk.edu
  • Process all travel requests for Ticket Office staff
  • Manage and troubleshoot Archtics/TM1 software
  • Enforce NCAA and SEC rules and regulations at approximately 50-100 home events including complimentary tickets used for recruits, player families, high school coaches, and donors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Volleyball & other Olympic Sport Responsibilities:
  • Oversee ticket operations for Volleyball and all other Olympic sports
  • Manage the sale of tickets when hosting special events, i.e., SEC Championships, NCAA Tournaments, and other special events adhering to SEC and NCAA regulations.
  • Responsible for setup and breakdown of ticket scanners and pedestals
  • Manage ticket inventory on a season and single-game allotment

Football Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with questions and ticket issues on game day
  • Manage accessible seating inventory on a season and single-game basis
  • Verify and process all faculty/staff season ticket applications to ensure staff member meets criteria for discounted tickets
  • Enforce NCAA and SEC rules and regulations including the complimentary tickets used for recruits, player families, high school coaches, and donors at all home games
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Tennessee Fund Liaison Responsibilities:
  • Assist Tennessee Fund Development staff to ensure proper giving levels related to season tickets for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball
  • Update Ticketmaster ticketing software to reflect changes in donor status
  • Maintain a record of donations required for season tickets and ticket holder status
  • Supervise the distribution of premium seat orders for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball
  • Assist Tennessee Fund staff with the processing of applications for season tickets, away game tickets, premium seat tickets, and parking for all sports

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Experience working in a Collegiate Athletic Ticket Office.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Archtics/TM1 ticket system applications or equivalent ticketing software
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations as they pertain to intercollegiate ticket operations
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with varied constituents; public, students, coaches, administrators
  • Ability to operate computer systems, various printers, calculators, and other office equipment
  • Ability to make independent decisions; no supervision
  • Ability to handle cash, checks, and credit card sales
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree
  • Experience: 3-4 years of full-time experience working in a Collegiate Athletic Ticket Office
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Archtics/TM1 ticket system applications or equivalent ticketing software
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations as they pertain to intercollegiate ticket operations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
